I'd be up for a gathering of the Ed/WordPress minds either virtually  
or in-person.

Though, WordCamps have been inviting of educational folks already as  
Jane pointed out.  I was one of the ed folks who spoke at WordCamp  
Chicago and highly appreciated the experience.  That being said, I  
felt like my topic (BuddyPress as LMS) may not have been appreciated  
by that many folks in the audience since they were more looking for a  
general WordPress talk.
