Comment:

 I'm the lead and the are enough people who addressed this issue to make it
 happen. It's then my call to make the right decission. As far as you told
 me, this kind of problems would not happen anymore since .org doesn't
 directly gets the latest version. So I'm curious if something really
 broke.

 Also yes, people like to see it as a WP plugin but not all count for the
 GlotPress development community. Since most never tried to contribute
 something back in any way.

 It's up to you to make this happen then.
