 You've spoken in such esoteric language, insomuch that all you did, was to
 get me completely lost and confused.

 I don't understand anything you mean by "**Template pack hierarchy**"--
 and how I can use it to "''organize my Directory the way I want''".

 Is there a Documentation somewhere that explains anything at all, about
 what you are talking about?

 Or, is this just some concealed function hidden somewhere inside
 BuddyPress Core, which only BuddyPress developers are aware about?

 2.) I went through Ticket #8568  But I'm not sure, if we are talking about
 the same thing.

 Ticket #8568 is talking about syncing BuddyPress Names with WordPress,
 alongside the incoherence that it produces.

 Whereas, I am talking about First and Last Name, being part of the
 BuddyPress Sorting Options-- so that, instead of just having Username as
 Display Name, we can actually have the user's Full Name as their display
 Name, just as we have it here--- https://prnt.sc/IoxUrancsRBz

 **OF NOTE**
 I'm not an expert in BuddyPress. I'm just a user.

 This means I know nothing of BuddyPress PHP, coding and all those nerdy
 stuff in relation to PHP.

 So there are likely to be a million things about BuddyPress that I don't
 know.

 I however know what I expect to get, as a user: I know that I need Sorting
 Presets-- where I can set my Sorting Options in a predetermined Order.

 Maybe:

 a.) Alphabetical
 b.) Last Active
 c.) Newest Registered
 d.) First and Last Name

 Then, whenever my Members Directory loads, this is what the Sorting Order
 will be.

 2.) I also know that I need **First** and **Last** Name to be among the
 ways that we can show the user's Name.

 You have explained some big things in high level esoteric language that I
 can't understand.

 Although, I believe that you can understand me!
