Comment:

 Reproduced on BuddyPress 2.7.
 Nesting Groups under ordinary page - works.
 Nesting Groups under BuddyPress components pages (like Activity) -
 directory works as expected (including ajax), single group page returns
 blank page; Activity works as expected.

 Adding this to 2.8, but not sure that this will be an easy fix (although I
 want to try).
