 @Venutius To answer your question: this is a consequence of an intentional
 change we made elsewhere, which we are not planning to revert back to at
 this point in time. I'm sorry it took us a while to remember the cause,
 and for the inconvenience caused. Hopefully some of what Ray suggested may
 help you devise a workaround.
