 Hi @sidneyjay looking at those screenshots suggests probably a theme issue
 and BP trac might not be the best place to look for help on this type of
 issue, The forums might gain  wider exposure with a greater number of the
 community reading forum posts.

 However to be able to think further it will be important to know just what
 theme your running, is it a BP custom theme, or is it one of the default
 WP twentysomething themes e.g twentyfifteen, do we know what stylesheets
 are being loaded?

 To override the CSS styling shouldn't be a problem and doesn't require PHP
 knowledge but does require CSS knowledge and WP child themeing familiarity
 as adding new styles ought to be done in a child theme, but these are
 questions that can be best answered on the forum, if you haven't already.
