 There's no doubt we would like for there to be more than 1 default theme
 compatibility option included in core. Whether that means what this is,
 something else, or something new, depends on the current state of where
 this is today.

 From the sounds of it (being mostly broken) and without a champion to own
 both what's here and what's left, the reality is that's usually how good
 code dies young.

 issues over on Github] complete and up-to-date? If not, is it possible to
 get a more detailed list of what exactly the state of your work is so far,
 so anyone else that wants to pick this up can easily take it over?
