 Thanks for talking through this.

 The more I think about it, the more I'm okay with it.  It would be easy to
 duplicate the Twitter Notifications / Retweet stream if we followed this
 example.

 But, I think separating the hardcoded scopes away from
 `BP_Activity_Activity::get_scope_query_sql()` makes sense and allows
 developers to make adjustments to them as well if needed.

 I'm on board!
