 hnla - The proposed change is better, but I'm still leery of how generic
 the .activity selector is.  Some rogue theme developer might use the
 "activity" class for whatever reason! :)

 boonebgorges - You're right.  Classes and IDs like "error" and "message"
 could be used in WP themes, which could interfere with the JS if BP
 Template Pack is used.
