Comment:

 I agree with Paul. Control over browser windows/tabs should remain in the
 hands of the individual browser. It's one thing if individual site admins
 want to implement this on their own sites with a plugin, but making it
 part of BP core would spread what is IMO a bad practice.

 If anyone vigorously disagrees, please feel free to reopen the ticket for
 discussion.
