I've noticed it being flakey in both... perticulary when you have a
development and stable environment on the same box. I attributed the
buttonsnap class issues (contact-form buttons disapearing) to the cookie
(its set to the domain and since both are on the same domain, it gets
overwritten when I login to my svn install) There might be similar
issues by things in cookies changing and maybe the form does show.
I'll do a `co` this afternoon of the latest and see if it works on my
box or not.
P: if you're running a 2.1.x and development site on the same domain,
this might be part of the issue. To go into more depth, I would log in
to my 2.0.x test site and everything would be ok. I would then log into
my 2.1 test site and it would be ok. Then if I went back to 2.0.x, it
broke... then occasionally after that in 2.1. On a clean install, it
works fine if you have no cookies. Once you have a cookie set,
reinstalling doesn't help. If you're not running them on the same
domain, it might be another issue.
