ett intressant alternativ. Google gör ett avancerat analysverktyg
tillgängligt helt utan kostnad.

Analysföretag som Web Trends och Web Side Story får se upp. Från och med
idag bjuder Google på ett analysverktyg som bland annat låter sajtägare se
var trafiken kommer ifrån, vilka länkar som drar flest besökare, vilka sidor
som visas ofta, och var besökarna ger upp. Det mesta som finns i de vanliga
analysverktygen finns med i Google Analytics.
- Det här kommer att skada analysföretag som riktar sig mot små- och
medelstora företag, säger analytikern Eric Peterson vid Jupiter Research
till news.com.
Verktyget bygger på teknik från Urchin, ett företag som Google köpte i mars
i år. Innan Google köpte Urchin var kostnaden för analysverktyget 495 dollar
per månad, vilket Google direkt sänkte till 199 dollar - fram till idag när
det blir gratis.
De som testat Google Analytics tycks vara positiva. Financial Times
webbplats har sedan juni utvärderat verktyget.
- Vi fick en väldigt specifik inblick i vår trafik. För stora organisationer
har den alla rapportfunktioner du behöver för att förstå vad dina besökare
gör, sägerily Jipson som är produktchef för FT.com till Informationweek
Google Analytics ska ersätta det enkla analysverktyg dom idag finns i
Googles annonsprogram Adwords. Adwords får ett nytt gränssnitt för
kontoägarna, med tre olika vyer: för företagsledning/chef, för
webbredaktörer, och för marknadsansvariga.
Verktyget innehåller även en funktion som automatiskt importerar
kostnadsuppgifter för roi-rapporter (return on investment), så att
reklamköpare kan se hur mycket de betalar för sina annonser i förhållande
till hur mycket pengar de tjänar på dem, skriver news.com.
