[wp-pro] Well rounded WP/WPMU/BP expert needed for nat'l sports network

Greetings, 

We are starting up a national network of sports sites using the multi-site platform of WP. Several of these sports sites are established and looking to band together under one roof to share universal logins for paid subscribers, etc. and leverage our content within one another on a shared platform as well. We are also looking to be on the bleeding edge, literally, and fully take advantage of social networking for college sports fans to jump into.

At this point we are looking for someone who is well rounded in WP (and multisite/WPMU), BP, and other areas in terms of possibly helping out with integration with other areas. We'd also like someone to not only help make our vision a reality but also to guide us as our technology leader.

Here's the catch. We are a start-up operation at this point and can only offer sweat equity. As with all startups, there's always a higher degree of risk, but the rewards are so much greater.

We have an added advantage in that at least six of our sites are already long running, established sites (for example, ours has been in business in 14 years and pulls in high six figures in annual revenues) that will form a good starting core for the network and we want to expand to 30-40 sites down the road. We plan on having an exit strategy where the entire network will be purchased or sold down the road as a turnkey operation to a media entity that wants an easy way into this market. We are former partners with ESPN as well as current partners with a large cable company so the possibilities are much more real (and lucrative) than most start-ups...

To recap, we are a new network of maverick publishers out to change the game in the way sports are covered at the collegiate level and we intend to make it big. We need folks with a similar vision who have a passion for what we do. And we intend to make it reality! This is a very rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor.

We just need someone expert in the ways of WP to help us push that vision further. :) So, you need to have real world experience in this platform and the ability to dive deep into the innards to make it do what we want to do.

This is a very serious venture so we need serious developer(s) with serious talent!
