That guide is outdated.

We specialise in Typepad (and Moveable Type) moves to Wordpress.

We keep all of the following intact:

* posts
* pages
* comments
* permalinks
* images
* multimedia
* layout (often we do a custom design after the fact)
* site navigation
* special features
* external stat services
* search rankings and page rank

And no using the standard MT files will not keep permalinks intact.

We also fix broken internal links ourselves (within reason - this is a  
conversion service not rehab) and provide you with a full list of  
broken external links broken down by page at the end of the project.
