[wp-pro] web design

Hi, I'm looking to have my current very ugly web site (www.mt-resources.com; I designed in myself in FrontPage years ago, can you tell?!) made pretty using WordPress. I want to add a blog to it as well. 

Can you tell me what I should expect to pay to have this done and how I go about finding someone to do this for me? I want a unique design: Not something that's a template that I may seen on someone's else's site. My main concern is that when they are done I want to be able to update it and make changes to it myself....
