*Blog RFP*

* *
Blog Purpose The blog will be the corporate blog for the company.


*Will Provide *

HTML / PSD for blog design. Might need some work to make it SEM
friendly

Key Features *Blogger /Authors Related *

   1. Multiple- Authors each with separate Login



   1. Should have a separate designation data-field that will be highlighted
   against there names in their profiles and on blog home. see design
   2.
   3. A REVIEW ADMIN: The review admin will be responsible for editing the
   posts for grammar and language. When the review admin changes the content
   the 'Author Name' should not change. i.e remain same as the original author.

   4.
   5. One Super admin: to add/ delete / modify Authors and their profiles.
   The Authors themselves will not have the rights to edit their profile
   6.
   7. Ability to have co-authoring capabilities, if possible. That is an
   article can have two author profiles associated with it.
   8.
   9. Ability to Blog from a mobile device is required.




*SEO/Analytics Related *



   1. The Blog should have Google Analytics support



   1. The developer must recommend the best SEO plug-ins and methodology


*Blog Category Related *

   1. The no. of blog categories will be restricted. Only the Super Admin
   will have the rights to add/edit/delete a category



   1. Categories may/may not have sub-categories



   1. All Posts have to be part of at-least one category



   1. The 'primary category' will always be the first selected category.
   That means that when a post is highlighted on the blog home – it will only
   be displayed under the first category. But will be reflected in all the
   category pages.



   1. Each category will have a separate/individual  RSS Feed



   1. There will also be a overall site RSS Feed



   1. Each Author will have a separate RSS Feed



   1. A 'feed burner 'account will be there to track all the above RSS
   individually.


*Social Book Marking Related                   *

   1. Each post to have a
      1. Send to 'LinkedIn Contacts' Feature – it's a simple code
      implementation. Can provide if required.
      2. Send to Friend Feature
      3. Download as PDF: Need to enable a wp-plugin to achieve this.
      4. Digg and Technorati


*Other Miscellaneous Features *

   1. We have a Newsletter; there should be an option to register/subscribe
   for that.
   2. Category listing on the home page to have a slide option on mouse over
   to display the subcategories if any.
   3. A brief profile of Author profile to appear below each post. To
   include a photograph, if available in the profile page.
   4. Tag clouds on the 'Category Home page'




*Communication / Payment *

   1. Partner to be available on Google Chat / Yahoo / Skype
   2. Payment schedule is open. Please suggest a suitable method. PAYPAL /
   Escrow service etc. and also the preferred payment schedule.
