[wp-pro] Problems moving index.php and getting it to work

Hi

I'm trying to move the index.php file to the root folder to get Wordpress to
stay under:

www.example.com/blog

and to make my homepage as www.example.com

but it doesn't seem to work.

I've moved the index.php file but it makes no difference.

Any advice please?
