Hi, I'm looking for someone to do some paid
customization to wordpress 1.6 on a consulting basis.
The desired functionality would allow users to upload
and maintain their own content (and posts), and make
certain of it available publicly, to a defined list of
individuals, or keep it private.

I am interested in contributing the fruits of your
work into future versions of wordpress.
