Not a bother at all, Jackie, please don't apologize. :-)

Their homepage is mainly just a picture of a harp, but if you click
that image you'll get to their WordPress site, with the menu the user
is describing:

http://javiersainz.net/biography/

Once you're there, the menu is present. Under Videos > YouTube Channel
if you select the YouTube link, you do get the YouTube channel opening
in a new tab. But the page from which you selected the menu item does
redirect back to http://javiersainz.net/ for some odd reason.

This is what the menu item shows as in the code:

<li id="menu-item-1119" class="menu-item menu-item-type-custom
menu-item-object-custom menu-item-1119"><a target="_blank"
href="http://www.youtube.com/user/MrJaviersainz">YouTube
channel</a></li>

Not sure why the originating page is redirecting, but you might
suggest she deactivate all her plugins to see if one might be the
culprit. Looks like they're running quite a few, including a
multilingual plugin called mqtranslate.
