Apologies again, I guess I am supposed to send to this address and not
your personal address. Either way, not bother to me.

Hi Otto,

Thanks for responding. First please understand. I was not the one who
was engaged in the "Sockpuppetry". Your email was forwarded to me.

I didn't ask the plugins team about it. And I have no problem with
removing fake reviews. Kudos to you for removing anything that isn't
legitimate. That isn't the issue I have. I have been looking at the
reviews and I have checked their profiles to see when they have created
their profiles. I am against fake reviews myself and I warned my partner
about such things when we first began. Maybe he didn't understand what I
was trying to say at that point. Your correction was received and the
correction hopefully was made.

If you check ips, you will find that he is in a different country and
maybe (I don't guarantee) the translation of what I initially warned
about didn't get through.

You are talking to a different person from the person you had other
correspondence with. Maybe I did misunderstand what you said as well. I
accept that and I would really like to get past it, if at all possible.

I was advised by someone else to address the moderator thread, that's
the only reason I did that. I was told that I shouldn't really contact
anyone directly. All moderators should have the opportunity to be a part
of the discussion. I don't mind that, and I am sure I would come away
with a few scratches as a result. But I will have a better understanding
when I am finished as well, so maybe it would be worth it. However, if
you and I can gain an understanding and that there might be a
misunderstanding between everyone concerned, we can get back on an even
footing.

If I am mistaken about what I read, I am fully and willingly to accept that.

But, your moderator asked me who gave the information and what was said.
I know of no rule against quoting someone from your team. Now that I
know, it won't happen again. I was simply responding with what I
believed was a true statement. If it is in fact taken out of context,
please share that context.

I recognize things can get all twisted up in written communication, it's
difficult under ideal circumstances to know what and how someone is
saying something having no idea what the mindset is or that attitude of
the writer. Please accept my apology if I misunderstood the context of
what you were saying in the email that was forwarded to me. The last
thing I want to do is misrepresent something.

I saw that one of the moderators thought I was an "angry" plugin
developer. Actually, I'm not. I am pragmatic and pedantic but not angry.
I want to present things correctly, thus my explanation of why I was
asking for expanded reviews.

Again, my apology. It was not intended to be something other than an
honest attempt to make sure the reviews are real reviews and that they
be encouraged to participate on WordPress.org forums if they are going
to join and review. That was my entire intent. I have no axe to grind. I
have no reason to damage our opportunity to be a productive part of the
WordPress community. I personally don't understand anyone who would
intentionally damage their chance to work with one of the best pieces of
web software on the net. That just doesn't make sense to me.

So, please understand, my desire has not been to create a problem, just
encourage (if they are real) people who post reviews of our plugin and
to give a reason for my asking them to do so.

Please, feel free to contact me and clarify anything I may have
misunderstood.

(added below)

Hi again Otto,

Please provide me a link to the place where quoting from an email will
get someone banned. I have looked and I didn't see that. Be assured, I
won't do it again, I don't care if Matt himself asks for me to provide
proof.

But I would like to know where that is. I don't wish to violate any of
your rules, written or unwritten. And being bozo'd because I responded
with what I was asked by your moderator to provide is a little excessive
IMHO. But, I also acknowledge it is what it is and we all have to live
within the boundaries of whatever "authority" is setting the rules .. It
would just help if they were a little more comprehensive and not so
subjective, if you understand what I am saying. :)

Thanks,
Louis

And please, any one of you who wishes to address me instead of talking
about me like I'm some Ailene, feel free. I'm not perfectly innocent as
esmi apparently jokingly claims to be.. lol

A little more attempt to understand that there could be a
misunderstanding and a little less of the pride in using the word "Bozo"
for other human beings who are honestly trying to navigate the
subjective application of what nobody seems to fully understand would be
a great step forward. Are you people for real?

It's not really a joke to treat people the way you are treating them and
talking about them presumably behind their backs. A little too much
carnival involved in your name calling and presumption that everything
you do is fully understood, and the apparent notion that those who say
something you don't like, or respond to your request to provide
information should be considered some clown. Now that is offensive. And
not really something to boast about. But, again, it is what it is.
