[wp-forums] Is there ANY official update about the WordPress Stats shenanigans?

As Esmi said in a recent reply:

Basically the new top posted question is 'Why am I blocked from my stats!?' and so far the best answer we've got is this:

"There are some issues.  Some people find that just waiting makes it go away, while others report that DELETING WordPress.com stats and installing Jetpack fixes it."

Is there anything more concrete we can tell them or a post to link 'em to? Users are feeling abandoned and frankly, I'd bet even money that more mods than just me are feeling that way.
