 @shawfactor That's the issue for your specific set up. If you use a fresh
 WordPress install with only BuddyPress as the active plugin, here's what
 you get:

 This should always be the case by the way as the `post_type_link` is
 filtered by BuddyPress since 12.0, see:
 https://github.com/buddypress/buddypress/blob/master/src/bp-core/bp-core-
 filters.php#L1363|L1385

 Anyway this ticket was about a cache issue when BuddyPress was setting the
 queried object, and you confirmed the PR is fixing the issue. Thanks a
 lot.
