 I had tested it that way, too, and I couldn't find anything that it broke.
 But, it doesn't solve the upgrade issue. (I tested that as well.) So, the
 slashes still are an issue on upgrade of blogs from 2.7 to 2.84a. I
 haven't been able to track that one down yet.
