 thanks for replying, I actually should have been a little more specific or
 should have mentioned that it was in regards to plugins. I get these
 slashes when working with any plugin that uses textarea for input. Not
 sure if the set of plugins should to be updated due to a change from 2.7.1
 to 2.8.1? The plugins are using stripslashes and addslashes, but it does
 not seem to work and magic quotes is enabled for my server.
