Comment:

 One reason for fixing the server, rather than changing this is that wp-
 cron will break if the server can't talk to itself. That means scheduled
 posts, cache cleaning and other critical functions will break.

 Closing this as the server functionality is required for the proper
 running of a WordPress blog.
