Comment:

 I know that in normal WordPress, when you delete a plugin from the
 filesystem, the plugin is deactivated and next time you view the plugins
 page, you get a message saying something like "Plugin x has been
 deactivated because it folder/file.php does not exist".

 It would make sense if WPMU sitewide plugins were also automatically
 deactivated when deleted.
