 In the process of writing a plugin that would work in wp and wpmu, I was
 including my "uninstall.php" function. The values that I store are "site-
 wide" in a wpmu environment, but there is no way to remove a site-wide
 option.

 I am including these two functions for consideration in adding to a future
 release: I would suggest they be added to wp-includes/functions.php @ 3233
