Comment:

 I just had this same problem, on two WPMU 2.8.4 installs, so upgrading
 must not be enough. A trailing slash is added to the end of the Dashboard
 Blog name and then when saving the page, get the WP_Error text in
 wp_sitemeta. Like brunoalves, I can fix this by removing the slash from
 line 91.

 I looked in wpmu-edit.php, but I'm not sure what to debug. Is
 $details->path supposed to have a trailing slash or not? The instructions
 under that field suggest it should not have a slash.
