#782: [1518] will trigger PHP bugs and screws up Unicode characters
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: JeremyVisser | Owner: somebody
     Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone: WPMU 2.0
Component: component1 | Version: 2.0
 Severity: normal | Keywords:
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
In [1518], the {{{$maxlength}}} value was changed from 8192 to 500000.
This will reverse the changes imposed by
[http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2733 WordPress bug #2733], which will in
turn trigger PHP bugs, which will randomly cause white screens on the
 dashboard.

Note that I haven't actually tested this, but I'm in panic mode at the
 moment.

Also, note that around line 730 of [1518], your editor seems to have
screwed up some of the Unicode characters.

I doubt any of this was intentional at first glance, this seems like a
completely unacceptable change! Of course, if I am wrong, please bash me
over the head repeatedly with a clue bat until I am unconscious.
