 To provide greater support for custom signup field validation, can we add
 two new hooks to the wp-signup.php file?

 I'm proposing the hooks: 'validate_user_signup' and
 'validate_blog_signup'.

 The first hook will fire when the user details signup page is submitted,
 the second when the blog details signup page is submitted.

 I have attached a patch file.
