 Just did an install and noted that $weblog_title, the variable that holds
 the name of the site, is not being saved anywhere within /index-
 install.php except as the name of blog number 1.  I went back and took a
 look at Dashboard -> Options -> General and it had the domain without the
 http:// bit in there as the site name.  I edited it and the software did
 create the site_name record within wp_sitemeta.  It was not there earlier.
