Comment:

 Look more closely at the code in wpmu-functions.php - you'll find those
 are fall back email addresses if the admin_email isn't set in wpmu-
 options.php
 Do you have the site admin email address set in wpmu-options.php ?

 I fixed the line in wp-settings.php and the wordpress.com domain name in
 phpmailer in [1186]
 That $From in phpmailer is never supposed to be used so it doesn't matter
 what goes in there.
