 The other half has pointed out I wasn't specific enough, the redirect
 error occurs when you make a blog later. You don't get the redirect error
 when you just make a user without a blog - it has to be a user created
 first, blog created later, *then* all the redirects to the admin from
 pages other than your own get the infinite loop. If you just have a
 blogless user, everything works fine.
