 Getting this error on all of our installs using the [1142] code.  I
 noticed that the code for trunk/wp-settings for
 [http://trac.wordpress.org/changeset/6009 wordpress changeset 6009] is not
 within the wpmu code.  I'm wondering if this is an oversight.

 Looking at this bit:
