 Strike that. This isn't a browser issue at all. What was confusing me is
 that this just happens with specific non-ascii characters. Also one of
 blogs I tested tried this out had a theme that used a redirect_to field in
 the comment form.

 I have confirmed this error on WPMU, WordPress.com and regular WP.
