Comment:

 Underscores aren't valid in a URL which is why they're filtered out. This
 won't change, and if you patch your local system to allow them it might
 break some browser, software client or proxy server. The Squid proxy
 server doesn't seem to like underscores - http://www.squid-cache.org/mail-
 archive/squid-users/200208/0565.html
