Comment:

 I can't reproduce this. Any option with serialized data is disabled and
 the string "SERIALIZED DATA" is displayed on the edit page. Are you using
 the newest version?

 Look through wpmu-blogs.php for "is_serialized_string" and dump the $val
 parameter to a file for debugging .. maybe that function isn't working
 properly.
