 I strongly suggest that this be reverted to avoid abuse from "all" the
 plugin authors. The filters list will become unmanageable very soon.

 After that:

 - Think of an alternative to this problem that does not allow abuse

 - Implement a select field filter, listing all the plugin authors present
 on the website - this is a matter for another trac ticket, of course, but
 a way to allow plugins to be filtered by author without abuse
