 This issue seems to have been fixed in later versions of Gutenberg and
 WordPress, so users experiencing similar behaviour should try updating to
 the latest release first.

 From an SEO standpoint, using anchor links like /#section-name is totally
 fine and won’t hurt rankings. It also improves the user experience by
 allowing visitors to go directly to the relevant section.

 This approach has been successfully implemented at client sites at
 [SEOisOK](https://seoisok.com/), where technical SEO and user experience
 are both paramount.
