 Unfortunately many hosting environments can have multiple ways of
 specifying PHP versions, it's highly likely that PHP 8.1 is running on the
 environment, either through a `.htaccess` or another rule in the hosting
 panels settings. In this case, `phpversion()` must be returning `8.1.34`.

 The web hosting company would have to look at the reporters site.

 A plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/phpinfo-wp/ (Untested by
 me) could be used to validate that PHP 8.1 or PHP 8.5 is indeed in use.
