 For changes to the WordPress.org sites, please use
 [https://meta.trac.wordpress.org/ Meta Trac].

 However, WordPress should not force external links to [https://css-
 tricks.com/use-target_blank/#aa-a-bad-reason-internal-links-and-external-
 links-are-different open in a new tab].

 #meta7976 and #meta7972 proposed similar behavior for other external
 links, and both tickets were closed as 'wontfix'. Also, several
 [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/query?keywords=~target-
 blank&group=resolution Core Trac tickets] have intentionally removed
 `target="_blank"`.
