 Sorry, I uploaded the image without context (thanks Trac :)). Left a few
 permutations on how the field can appear in the omnibar (desktop, as ),
 with different positions and widths.

 - My personal preference is to align it right, when centered the whole
 omnibar feels unbalanced to me, even more when functions/plugins add their
 UIs.
 - I understand the connection with the editor's, they belong to a
 different material.
 - Eventually I can this CmdK absorbing more functions, cleaning some of
 the UIs (ie. New, Help, or a potential site switcher).

 Hope this helps, happy to provide specs as needed to include it on time
 for 7.0 if that's still on the table.
 And can follow up as well with iterations of the rest of the omnibar to
 progress it to a more modern look and behavior.
