 @wildworks You are right, we can't risk this change without a proper
 reason behind it. I think the documentation was updated mistakenly in the
 past. Check the below commit, the commit message is "Docs: Various
 docblock corrections" and it was updated as part of the
 https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/51800 ticket.
