prevalent opinion was to not do that. Those changes were reverted. Now I
see full white again, which is against any usability, UX, and
accessibility best practice I'm aware of. It's a well-known design

It seems there have been some discussions regarding background colors in
Gutenberg.

In the latest Gutenberg, the background color appears to be `#fcfcfc`.
