 Hey @dramitstalbot , thanks for advocating for this!

 I’m invested in this idea and willing to work on implementing something in
 core. Until there’s a core path I’ll recommend the [Disable
 Blog](https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-blog/) plugin, which provides
 a lot of this functionality.
