 I can agree with you that 2000 is totally arbitrary. That day @swissspidy
 woke up with the 2 in the head.
 But it's also true that 1000 is also arbitrary by GSC. There is no best
 number here.

 How does affect you the fact that there are 2000 URLs instead of 1000
 concerning GSC?
 From my experience, GSC doesn't have trouble crawling 2000 URLs or
 whatever number of URLs you have.
