Comment:

 Hi all, since this ticket has been open for 11+ years, and the way WP
 handles widgets now has changed, and it's been a few months since it was
 proposed to be closed, I'm going to close this ticket to help clean up
 Trac. Feel free to reopen if you think this should be addressed in the WP
 of today.
