 @SirLouen Thanks, I missed the `canola`. This could be made a bit easier
 to read and be more fully tested if it used a dataprovider and
 associative, indexed, and mixed arrays.

 Further, removing the acceptance of a string would make this simpler.
 While $attachments accepts both, the considerations in 2008 when it was
 added were not around type safety.
