 I'm happy to fix QM because it is knowingly using a private method so I
 don't expect its API to be stable. It's annoying but there is a reason we
 have method visibility. I've already fixed this in the develop branch of
 QM and I'll get a release out shortly.

 We've got #60597 for a public API. Would be great to implement that so
 there's a stable API for extenders to use.
