 The WordPress ZIP is required because it reduces download errors and makes
 the file smaller for distribution.
 On Windows XP, the default extractor sometimes fails because it’s
 outdated.

 Try installing:

 7-Zip:
 Lightweight, free, and work perfectly with the WordPress package.

 Once you extract it, just place the folder in your server directory
 (XAMPP/WAMP) and open:

 localhost/wordpress
